Sculptured Garden
To reach Devil's Garden one must traverse Hole-In-The-Rock Road just outside of Escalante, Utah and in the Eastern Grand Staircase of Escalante. This area features hoodoos, natural arches and sandstone formations. If you survive the drive out to Devil's Garden you are in store for a special treat. Wind and water have carved layers of sandstone into enigmatic sculptures. In this image I have captured the beauty of what I imagine a "rock garden" would begin to look like for giants as they manipulate these rocks into planned spaces for the enjoyment of other forms of nature. How appropriate to have a Rock Garden in Devil's Garden. This image was taken with a Canon 5D, MK IV and a Canon 24-70 lens set at 28 mm for 1/1000 of a second at f14 and ISO 640.
