Lower Calf Creek Falls
The Calf Creek Campground is about 15 miles East of Escalante. From here a 4.5 mile hike takes you through mineral-streaked cliffs of Navajo Sandstone, beaver ponds, and pre-historic wall art until you reach the beautiful Lower Falls. These majestic Falls are 130 feet high with a deep swimming area beneath them. The entire creek is surrounded by greenery, but more noticeably under the spray of the waterfall. I took many images of the waterfall, but I was enchanted by the beauty of the water from the left side of the Falls as it flowed into the emerald green water below. This image was taken with my Canon 5D, MK IV and a 70-200mm lens set at 70mm for 2 seconds at f14 and ISO 100.
