Laguna Beach Sunset
During the October 2020 Silverado fire in Irvine, I was returning from Dana Point along PCH. The sun was beginning to set and I noticed that the smoke bank from the fire was settling in along the Laguna Beach shore line. I immediately pulled into the parking lot of Treasure Island Beach and began capturing the setting sun colors of red and orange. Shortly a child with his dad came into the scene flying a dragon kite. I was fortunate to capture the setting sun and the siloutette of the child reaching up toward the kite. This image was taken with a canon 5D, MK IV and a Canon 24-70mm lens set at 70 mm for 1/100 second at f8 and an ISO of 100.
