Grosvenor Arch
Grosvenor Arch is located within the kodachrome State Park area off of Cottonwood Canyon Road. On first sight, this 150 feet high sandstone double arch is an inspiring image with its sheer and colossal cliff sides. The larger arch is nearly 100 feet in diameter and has a castle-like appearance. Earlier in the day a light snow shower kept the sky filled with dramatic clouds with sun breaking through only in spots. This worked perfectly to my advantage as I took shot after shot to find that perfect balance of the lone tree highlighted by the unique yellow hue of the arch in the background. This image was taken with my Canon 5D, MK IV and a 24-70mm lens set at 24mm for 1/50 second at f16 and ISO 400.
